The Family
First of all. The rest of the family is:
- Papa Kelly. His real name is
Daniël Jiro (Jerome) Kelly. He is Irish, but was born in the USA. He was teacher in Math.
After a while as teacher he had to fight in Vietnam-war, when he didn't wanted to he
decided to go to Spain in 1966.
- Barbara Ann Kelly, also known as Mama Kelly. She's half Irish, half Finnish. She died in 1983 (she had cancer). Her wish was to get 15 children. She was also a good ballerina, just like her daughter Barby.
- Danny. He's the oldest Kelly-son and the oldest Kelly-kid. Right now he's 37 years and lives in the USA with his sister Caroline.
- Caroline. The oldest Kelly-sister. She left the Kelly Family in 1980, when she left to the USA with Danny.
- Paul. He left the band in 1982, when he moved to Paris with his wife. Right now he has 4 children and works as a cook and sometimes he plays music on the streets.
- Sean. The son of Kathy, the oldest member of the band. This 7 years old boy lives with his mother. His father (Vincent) and his mum aren't together anymore. He used to come on stage often, but now he can't anymore, because he has to go to school.
- Finnbar. This is the Kelly's dog.
A little story about the beginning of the Kelly's.
The Kelly's played at the streets, but in 1973
was the first REAL concert for them. In 1980 they had their first big hit. It was called
"Who'll Come With Me" (David's Song). Sang by Johnny (who was 15 years old
then). Angelo wasn't even born. The Kelly's have lived in many different places all over
Europe. Germany, Spain, Ireland, Holland, France... Mama Kelly died just after Angelo had
born.
Then the Streetlife-time began. It was a hard working time for all of them. They gave 2 or
3 Streetconcerts a day in Germany and sometimes in Holland. Then (in 1994) they filled for
the first time in their lives a full hall (Westfalenhalle, Dortmund. Germany). Their dream
became true.

Since then they had many tours (like Stadium Tour 1996, European Tour 1998, Christmas Tour
1999) and almost every single concert has been sold out.
Right now, the Kelly's live in a castle in Gymnich (near Cologne) in Germany.
